Stormwater & Tank

Every new house has to have a council approved stormwater designed plan to suit the area.

Normally a Rainwater tank has to be included as part of the stormwater system so that the recycled rainwater can be used in the toilet instead of tap water. There is also times when a CFS tank is needed to be installed and some councils require retention/detention tanks. These stormwater systems have to planned and be installed by a license stormwater layer and all mains water works needs to be completed by a license plumber.

When stormwater problem occurs it is normally due to systems which are laid without proper falls and the excavations has been completed to deep which causes pipes to drop. Stormwater trenches should be dug out to the bright depts and after the pipes are laid, the trenches should be filled in with rubble and then compacted. Uncompacted trenches are the main reasons for concrete to crack and paving to sink.

Aged stormwater system will normally be block up due to over grown roots and the only way to repair the system is to replace the sections that are blocked and in most cases by the time there is a blockage in the system, then whole system is full of roots.
